Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds

06 October
I'm so proud of myself! I've been doing really got NOT buying too many new treasures and I'm making great progress cleaning up the spare bedroom where all the treasures land... also known as Terror Trove!

I only picked up two things this week and I'm keeping them both.

Thrifting Finds

This wicker bottle, it was $3.00.

Here is where it is residing for now. I'd like to get at least one more to put next to it.

And this vintage Mary statue. The tall one... the other one is listed in my Etsy shop but if it doesn't sell I think I'm going to keep it. I love them...

I don't know why I love these so much but I think I need to start a collection... you know... to go along with my vintage bible collection... says the girl who's not even religious. :o)

I paid $3.00 for her too and I see that they are selling on ebay for around $30.

Made in W. Germany.

I also wanted to show another treasure... from a past treasure trove... actually I don't know if I ever even showed it to you.

I found it in a free box... it was the only good thing at the yard sale!

It's hard to tell from that picture but it had a heavy polyurethane layer over it. When I popped the remaining roman numerals off of it I decided to sand the shininess off for a more natural look.

You can see where the numbers were, they are like ghost numbers! I decided I kind of like it so I didn't add more numbers. I painted the clock hands grey and hung it above my couch.

That's it this time... I'm off to continue cleaning up terror trove!
