Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds

19 January
I have some new treasures to show you today :o)

Thrifting Finds

So let's just get right to it shall we?!

I love this sweet little girl all bundled up for winter... the frame definitely needs a makeover though!

I also found the really cool display stand. It's not old but made to look like it.

A vintage basket. I've seen baskets like these but they are usually quite large, this one is very small!

In fact you can see how small it is by the flash cards sitting inside... they are the size of regular playing cards. They are also something I found while thrifting.

An old plant holder developing a little rusty patina in its old age :o)

Speaking of patina... check out these clay pots! They are too large for the plant holder but I have another one that they will fit in.

One of them is stamped "Made in Italy".

A children's language book from the 1960's.

Here are some of the pages inside, aren't they cute?

This little guy made me smile when I saw him on the shelf at Goodwill. His helmet is this liquor decanter's lid!

A few old, metal cookie cutters...

And the sweet little custard cup they are sitting in. It has flowers on the sides.

And this pretty little thing... what is it you ask?

Here, let me show you!

I don't know what it's for... Saki maybe?? It's quite small... see how it fits in my hand?

That's it this week. Again, all of these items are headed down to my booth(s) at the antique mall.

  1. Hi Tania, great finds! That little pink glass decanter is actually a bedside water decanter - great for guestroom (or your own!) nightstand.

  3. Great finds! I think the little girl print is a vintage Charmin toilet paper ad! And i agree about the pink glass and decanter being a water container for your night stand. Very pretty! I love the little booze cop!

  4. Such unique pieces this week! I think that little decanter and glass are to sit on your nightstand so if you get thirsty at night. I have seen them before and they used to be a popular thing. Much prettier than my Tervis tumbler I keep by the bed. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

That little pink decanter with the little glass is or your bedside table, for water...they used to be quite popular years ago.
