Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds

Thrifting Finds

I managed to find a few things over the weekend, want to see?

I love this pink scale... what I don't love is what I see when I stand on it! It seems to be accurate too... DOH!

I don't quite understand what it says right below the numbers though... "Not legal for trade"... hmm...

I think with a little bit of cleaning up it will be as good as new... and then I'm going to trade it... for money!! :o)

A metal mail holder that has been painted gold. I think I'll leave it that color too, it will fit in nicely with my shabby, rustic, glam booth at the antique mall!

The New Garden Encyclopedia... new in the 1950's!

The inside has a really pretty little cottage garden scene :o)

I thought this little rustic crate might hold two canning jars. I haven't tried it yet though.

It appears to be handmade.

I've always had good luck selling these little jelly glasses in my Etsy shop, I thought I'd give them a shot at the antique mall.

A vintage honeycomb bride table centerpiece, most likely from the 70's I think.

A cigar box that I'm planning to give a little makeover.

At least I think "Rum Babies" are cigars!

And this cool beaded mirror! I might keep it but I don't know yet.

That's it for this week! Have you found any good treasures lately?

  1. Fabulous finds! I think the wording on the scale means that you can't use it to weigh something you're going to sell. The cigars seem to cover two vices at once!! What a time saver! LOL!

  2. Love your scale. Just don't use it to weigh meat or produce for sale...
