Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Vintage Finds

10 May
I have a few new treasures to share today!

thrifting finds

I found this vintage NIP (New In Package), pink, damask tablecloth and napkin set!

I love the pale pink color!

Price $1.99, Value $20 - $25.

I'm getting quite a stack of these vintage floral prints. I think they will make a nice display grouped together on one wall of one of my spaces at the antique mall.

These are by de Jonge. Price $3.98 for the pair, Value $25 to $30 for the pair.

Vintage macrame wall hangings... I know, I know... these do not fit everyone's taste! But they are pretty hot at the moment with the bohemian/boho decorating surge in popularity!

And they will fit right in at my Little Boho Cottage Etsy shop!

These are actually a little bit macrame and a little bit latch hook but not from the traditional latch hook kits that you may remember.

Price $1.50, Value $25 - $30.

So, when you think of macrame what does it remind you of? ... The 1960's and 70's? The Hippie movement?

Me too! But I decided to do a little research and was surprised to find that it actually dates all the way back to the 13th century in Arabia! It was brought to Spain around 711 AD and then to Europe.

It was a favorite pastime of sailors since they were out at sea for so long with not much to do for entertainment. Macrame made it's way around the world when the sailors traded or sold their creations at the different ports they visited.

It faded away for awhile until the 1960's brought it back to life!

Again, it faded away and now is back yet again with the boho style!

Look at all the texture in this one! Price $4.99, Value $25 - $30.

I love the chippiness of these candle sconces.

Price $1.99 for the pair, Value $16 - $18 for the pair.

I loved this old picture, the muted tones and whispy feel of it is so pretty.

The frame needs to be painted though ;o)  Price $1.99, Value $16 - $18.

A cute little rustic box. Price $2.99, Value $14 - $16.

An accordion peg rack. These have always been good sellers in my Etsy shops but I've never had a white one with a design!  Price $1.99, Value $14 - $16.

And this... I think it might have been an oil lamp. There is no hole where a cord would have been so it wasn't an electric lamp and I have found very similar oil lamps on eBay.

I think it is so pretty and with a couple of replacement parts could be a working lamp again.

The base is not in very good condition but I still think it's beautiful. Price $4.99, Value $40 - $50 in this condition.

So, which item is your favorite?
