Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds

It was a pretty good weekend for treasure hunting again and I have a few goodies to share!

Thrifting Finds

I thought this set of place mats was cute!

I love the little strawberries, wouldn't they be cute at a summer picnic?

Price $1.25, Value $14 - $16.

I found a box full of old Reader's Digest books so I picked out some based on the cute covers! I think they are fun to display just for their covers :o) These remind me of old flour sacks.

Price $1.00 each, Value $6 - $8 each.

The cover on this book is in pretty sad shape.

Inside is very nice.

And it's a first edition!

Price $1.00, Value $15 - $20.

I loved this children's suitcase despite the condition, it is missing the handle and the edges are pretty rough.

Price $1.00, Value $12 - $14 (I might keep this though, I like to store craft supplies in cute little boxes)

Dresser trays are always popular.

Price .50 cents each, Value $14 - $16 each.

I thought this cute little Valentine shadow box that someone made was sweet.

Price $1.00, Value $14 - $16.

A box of cards, the box is pretty cute and there were some of the original cards (top right) still inside along with some others.

Price $1.00, Value $1.00 - $2.00 per card.

An adorable little plastic wall pocket.

Price $2.00, Value $10 - $12.

Wouldn't these be cute on a gallery wall in a little boy's bedroom?

It's funny how they look like a set but each is signed by a different artist!

Price $1.00 for the set, Value $12 - $14 for the set.

This cutting board is pretty cute I think.

Price .50 cents, Value $12 - $14.

This little mirror is very heavy and old. I am keeping it and the cute carved heart shaped frame.

Price $1.00 for the mirror, .50 cents for the frame, Value $12 - $14  for the mirror, $6 - $8 for the frame (if I were going to sell them).

I thought this little handmade purse was cute! It's made with two wash cloths and crochet details!

Price .50 cents, Value $8 - $10.

This little fish has such a funny look on his face!

Price .75 cents, Value $20 - $22.

And two large milk glass pitchers! I love the one on the right!

Price $3.00 each, Value $25 - $30 each.

That's it, did you see anything you like?

  2. Love the little child's case the most. I think you're crafty enough you could come up with a new handle for that thing in no time. :)

    1. Thanks Melissa! I thought I could make a new handle pretty easy too... I was thinking of just braiding some pieces of fabric in the colors of the case and using that!

    1. Thanks Marie! We have a lot of really great thrift stores where I live and my mom and I hit some yard sales almost every weekend! Since I have to keep my booths at the antique mall stocked as well as 2 online stores I have the perfect excuse to do all this shopping! Ha Ha!

  5. Great finds! Love the child's suitcase. It is one of the sweetest things I've seen in a long time. The handmade purse is so unusual and the colours of that fish are lovely but yes it does have a funny look on its face. Like it's saying "huh?".

    1. Hi Liz, I haven't done any room redos for awhile. The last ones I did were my craft studio and my living room. You can check those out by going to the menu item "My Home" if you missed them. I am gathering up things and planning to redo my bedroom again soon though!
