I've been loving all the beautiful fall home tours and decorations on my favorite blogs lately, and while I'm not so sure I'll get an actual home tour done, I do have a fall tablescape to share today!

I had so much fun creating my Sweet & Simple Easter Tablescape back in March I decided to give it another go! They just seem so much more manageable than decorating the entire house... although I still do that too sometimes 😊

An Eclectic Fall Tablescape

Nature-Inspired Fall Tablescape

I wanted to have a very rustic and nature-inspired tablescape for the fall table so I used some rustic vintage items, some vintage-inspired new items, a little bit of DIY, and of course some nature!!

Transitioning Fall Decor Into Thanksiving

I found these vintage dining room chairs at a garage sale a couple of months ago for only $8 for the set of four! I am planning to give them an updated look with new upholstery but until then I thought the rust-colored velvet seats were perfect for fall!

The first thing I did for my fall table was make a table runner from this cute zebra print lacey fabric I found.

I just hemmed up the sides and then I made some tassels for the ends!

With the base of my display ready, I started layering... I added a fall floral swag that I found at Hobby Lobby, it had an artificial pumpkin, cotton bolls, a gourd, pine cones, evergreen sprigs, and leaves all in neutral colors and it created a great base for my tablescape.

Then I added some cute little tin containers.

Some little white pumpkins, a couple of pheasant feather picks, and some candles in tiny canning jars. I used white dried beans in the jars.

The little pumpkins in the containers are fairy tale pumpkins, they were the last two on earth... or at least the stores I checked 😁

I used a grey Sharpie marker to draw on the little triangles.

Since I could only find two little fairy tale pumpkins I decided to fill the center container with caramels.

I made three little paper pumpkins. Check out that tutorial here: Cute Paper Pumpkins,  they are so easy!

I added some maple leaves from my yard and some tiny pine cones I've had in my craft stash forever.

And I added books... some standing up behind and some lying down. I like the patina and colors of the old pages, they add another fun layer.

I also added some leaves from the yard to some of the plates on the wall with Washi tape.

I had a lot of fun with this tablescape, what do you think? Too much?

Have you done any fall decorating?

  1. Such a lovely tablescape Tania. Love the funnels, and the addition of the books is a fun idea.

  2. I love it! Those containers and their cute holders are perfect and the books add more dimension. There's a lot going on but i don't think it's too much. I climbed up on a stepstool and put fall leaf garlands along the top of the hall bookcase yesterday. I've had some pumpkins and fall runners on side tables and buffet for a little while. Now it's time to add a few Halloween touches!
