Christmas Decorating - A Christmas Decorated Bar Cart

Have you guys noticed the current bar cart craze that is happening all around us? Maybe you're a trendy gal or guy and you've already hopped on the band wagon... or should I say band cart?! 😂 Bwahaha!!

Well I've been drooling over all the cute bar carts I'm seeing in the stores and all over blog land and I finally bought one myself and I have a little hot chocolate bar for Christmas!

Christmas hot chocolate bar

I searched all over for a bar cart... I wanted something on the smaller side and inexpensive too... I checked Pier One, Target, TJMaxx, Fred Meyer, and even Wal-mart. I think they all had them but they were just more than I wanted to spend.

Sooo, I checked online too... Overstock.com, Wayfair.com, and finally ended up finding just what I wanted on Amazon! It's the IKEA BYGEL Home Storage Utility Cart and I was going to link to it but they are out of stock!!! So I checked the IKEA website and they are out too... I've seen this particular bar cart all over in blog land so I'm assuming I got the very last one! ha ha!!

Here is what it looks like in it's original form.

Its silver metal, the two bottom shelves are white metal and the top shelf and drawer are white plastic. Of course I had to give mine a makeover so it got a coat of gold spray paint for a more glamorous/less utilitarian look!

Since I've never owned a bar cart before I'm having fun shopping for it, so for now I have it set up as a Christmas hot chocolate station!

I now have a place to display my vintage Howard Holt winking Santa pitcher and mug set!!

I found some of these sets, called "Merry Whiskers", on Etsy too in case you feel like having your own adorable Santa set!

I found this super cute towel at Fred Meyer 😉

And I found a fun drink recipe book in the Target dollar spot!

I'm excited to try out some new drinks.

Do you have a bar cart? How about a favorite drink recipe?!

Your bar cart fits right in with your home decor! It gives me a stab of guilt because I have two very vintage and rusty carts waiting for me to make them much more presentable. Have successfully avoided redoing them thus far, but the day is coming when I must get them done and out to my shop space. Thanks for sharing your cute cart and the winking Santa set.

That's a nice size cart--compact but still has plenty of room. The Santa set is adorable on it!
