Fall Front Porch in Miniature
06 September
Thank you to Miniatures.com for partnering with me to bring you this dollhouse makeover post! Financial compensation was not received for this post, a sample product was gifted. Opinions expressed here are my own.
I decorated the front porch for fall... the front porch of the Littlest Vintage Cottage that is (my dollhouse)!
I was immediately smitten when Miniatures.com reached out to me with their fall line of miniatures!
But the first thing I needed was a front porch since my dollhouse doesn't have one.
I found these "skinny sticks" at Walmart and thought they would be perfect to create a little porch.
I used two posts that were left over from the dollhouse staircase and glued the skinny sticks to those.
Then I stained it and for now, it just scoots up next to the dollhouse for a perfect fit!
I also needed to attach the front door. I used these dollhouse hinges... look how tiny!!
I have a new respect for people who build dollhouse furniture because I had one heck of a time getting those teeny-tiny nails in place and hammered in! I had to get my glasses because I couldn't even see them let alone place them! 👀
To create my fall front porch, I chose this cute jack-o-lantern and a hay bale...
... and this adorable mini pumpkin wreath for the door!
The little bulldog reminded me of my Miss Roxanne (RIP), it looks like it isn't available anymore though.
I added the tiny little doorknob, isn't it adorable!!??
I think it turned out pretty cute, what do you think?
