Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds
14 April
I found a little bit more this time around to show at Treasure Trove Tuesday than last time.
Isn't this little birds nest so sweet? I love the unique matting, I think it will be lovely with the frame painted in green or blue to bring out the color in it. I'm not sure I'll be able to part with it!
This frame will be pretty painted too.
The lady I bought this sweet little Pooh bear from had kind of a hard time parting with it. She said it was her son's when he was little. It plays music and she cuddled with it before handing it over... I felt for her... I don't think I could do it. :o(
This nursery songs record was from the same sale as Pooh... it was probably her son's too but I didn't want to upset her anymore so I didn't ask.
I found two of these pillows, I really bought them for the inserts to make a few pillows from some vintage fabrics I have. The covers are kind of pretty though...
A brown enamel flower pin, some sparkly rhinestone earrings, and pretty glass drawer knobs.
An adorable little flower sink drain insert.
A Reader's Digest book, I love the flowered cover!
Two old magazines. There is a local car show coming up in August. It's held in the parking lot of the antique mall where I have my booth and my dad suggested that it might be good to have some "guy things" in my booth while that's going on. Great idea dad, so these will be for that occasion!
I bought this for the frame. It had a picture of two wolves from a calendar in it and when I took that out I found this. I think it's kind of nice, it's painted right on a thin piece of wood. Maybe I should do another quote similar to the {wildflowers picture} I just finished!
An old clothesline in the original box with the original little bags of soap! CUTE!
A latch hook kit for my {Little Boho Cottage} shop.
A small orange juice pitcher.
I think this owl planter will be adorable with a coat of paint!
A Vera scarf.
The padded fabric hangers and crochet hanger are for my closet. I've decided it would be fun to collect colorful padded hangers like this to replace all my ugly plastic hangers for my {boho bedroom} closet!
The wooden hanger is to sell. It says "The New York Hilton at Rockefeller Center".
So that's it for this week! See anything you like?

Everything Else
You did much better than I did. I only found enough to fill one small box. Love the frames and the bittersweet story of Pooh. My favorite is the hotel hanger!
ReplyDeleteThe hangers were by far my favorite, altho the Popular Science magazine cover really caught my eye too.
ReplyDeleteYou found a real interesting mix of items. I don't think I could have parted with the Pooh bear and it sounds like the seller had a hard time too. I too like the hangers, it would be fun to open your closet and see all the different hangers plus they're a useful collection to have. The scarf is very pretty and I'm liking that yellow daisy drain cover. Probably because my kitchen is bright yellow.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thanks for stopping by and for the wonderful comment on my hutch. Love your haul. Also wanted to say that we are neighbors, I live across the river in Hermiston. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWell what a small world it is! Thanks for your comment Cheryl!
