Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds
15 September
How is everyone doing today, did you survive Monday?
It was hard to go back to work after my little {camping mini vacation} over the weekend.
I mentioned that my daughter and I hit a few antique shops on our trip and the Goodwill in The Dalles on our way home. I managed to find a few things.
Not much mind you...
Only one of my treasures was found in the antique shops...
I got two of these vintage black metal candle holders. I'm planning to use them in my Halloween/Fall decor at my booth in the antique mall. I think some little mini pumpkins would be cute sitting on them!
All the rest of my goodies came from that Goodwill.
I found this pretty purple, black, and white Mexican blanket. They seem to be pretty popular lately with the boho chic movement! I think it'll go good in my {Little Boho Cottage} Etsy shop.
I love this sweet little owl and his sleepy looking eyes :o) I think he's a keeper! My owl collection is getting bigger!
A pretty green Pyrex bowl. These are kind of hard to come by, usually they are all faded. People don't realize that you can't wash them in the dishwasher!
A pretty mint colored Lu-Ray Pastel bowl.
And a little vintage basket with wire handles.
That's it this week! I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

Love the Pyrex bowl!
ReplyDeleteI always love your finds, you have a great eye for vintage and I have learned a lot from your detailed descriptions! Wish my Good Will had decent prices...seems like they raised everything lately. Gosh, a book is $3.00 now :(
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl. I know what you mean about Goodwill and their rising prices. It's a bummer sometimes but every now and then you can still find a good deal :o)

I love that green Pyrex bowl. I found the very large lemon one, not scratched for $1.00. I don't know Pyrex price's but for a nice large mixing bowl alone, it was cheap. I do use it and wash it by hand :)) Have a good week, TT
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy! $1 for the bowl is an awesome deal I think!

Hi Tania! :)
ReplyDeleteYou found some great things! The owl is really cute! I love the mint bowl and have never heard of that brand name before.
I don't see Pyrex bowls often either, and you are right, the ones I do see have been put in the dishwasher.
Kimberley :)
Hi Kimberley! I've seen several pieces of the Lu-Ray and it is always in pretty pastel colors which I really like :o)
