Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds
12 July
My mom and I hit a few really good yard sales on Saturday and I've got a few things to show you!
I found all of the music books in a free box! The three books lying down are valued at around $4 - $6 each.
The Sweetheart Songs book is my favorite, it's dated 1938 and has some great illustrations!
Value $8 - $10.
The Progressive Music Series Book One is dated 1920! Can you believe they threw these in a free box?!
Value $8 - $10.
The music flash cards will be fun to add to some ephemera packs. I've been selling packets of vintage paper ephemera like this in my space at the antique mall for $10 each. You can see more in this post: Thrift Store Flips.
These old children's books were .10 cents each!
This one is so cute, it's dated 1959. Value $3 - $4.
The First Book of Birds has some great, colorful illustrations. Value $4 - $6.
These boxes of vintage Christmas ornaments have seen better days... the boxes anyway!
Some of the ornaments were just plain and not in good condition at all but there were some good ones too!
Price .50 cents per box, value $1 - $2 per ornament.
The three plain pink ones are my favorite.
A vintage Corning percolator. It needs to be cleaned. Price $1.00, Value $20 - $30.
I loved this vintage apron pattern. Price .50 cents, Value $6 - $8.
A small tablecloth with cute deer and trees cross-stitched on it.
Price $1, Value $10 - $12.
Do you remember these lap trays? My grandma used them with my cousin and I when we stayed at her house :o)
Price $3, Value $15 - $30.
I loved this pair of embroidered gnomes!! I think they would be cute if the frames were updated or I might see if I could make pillows with them, what do you think?
Price $2 each, Value $10 - $12 each.
And here is another embroidery piece that will be sweet once I update the frame. Just LOOK at all the work that went into this! Price $1, Value $20 - $25.
And a cute little dolly. Her face is different than any I've seen but she has no markings.
Price .75 cents, Value $6 - $8.
This jar is so cute, it's too bad the lid is broken. It's hard to tell in this picture but it's been glued back together. I loved it still though.
It has different animals all around the jar. Price .50 cents, Value $8 - $10 as is.
And some cute little mermaids with bubbles! Price $1 for the set, Value $18 - $20.
Mermaids and fish wall hangings like these are going like crazy on eBay right now, I can't believe the prices some of them are selling for! Check these out, they had 32 bids and sold for $142.50 Mermaids with Bubbles!!!
That's it for this week's TTT, I hope you enjoyed it!

Oh Tania...love your finds!! Especially the embroidery pictures! All 3 of them. The gnomes are just precious. I can't believe someone just threw those music books away! Your lucky day to find those! And the mermaids! Wow, what a surprise to see their worth! Are they chalk ware?
ReplyDeleteHi Florence! No these mermaids are not chalk ware, just ceramic. Some are though.
