Can you believe Halloween is just a couple of days away? It came so quickly that I didn't even decorate for it :o(

It's official... I am a slacker... I really wanted to decorate... I even bought some new decor... but time got away and I never got it done.

So today I'm sharing my living room refresh but it doesn't include any super cute Halloween decorations like everyone else has :o(

I started this refresh with a project I've been planning for quite awhile. I saved the doors off an old hutch I used to have and I wanted to use them as a divider between my non-existent entry way and the rest of the living room.

Make a hanging room divider with old windows
These were originally a very dark green which doesn't go with my decor so I painted them white and then hung them from the ceiling using Swag Lamp Kit Hookssmall chains, and Cup Hooks.

You can see my living room doesn't have an entry way so I wanted to create the feeling of one and I thought these would help get the feeling I was after!

The table was already here but I've added a couple of new things to it as well...

I saw this deer head vase at a local home decor store and fell in love with it! I used some branches off my twisted filbert tree in the back yard to make antlers! You can find it here: Ceramic Deer Head Vase

The Artist Articulated Hand is new too, it's so fun to pose it in different hand gestures!!

The metal turtle shell was a Goodwill find (originally from Target). You can find it here: turtle shell wall hanging.

The coffee table is an old locker/trunk. I added some bun feet to make it look more like a table.

The cow hide is fake (I can't afford the real thing and honestly I'm not sure I'd want one, it makes me sad) so faux all the way!! You can find some here: Cow Print Rug,

Here's a better shot of the trunk coffee table.

I moved my brown chair to the other side of the fireplace and added some cozy blankets and pillow.

The string lights were a yard sale find.

I found the blanket on this bench at Goodwill along with the white tassel pillow.

Here is what the room looked like without the window dividers...

And after!!

So that's it for my living room... I'll definitely be decorating for Christmas... I won't miss that like I did Halloween! ;o)

I like the hanging doors divider. It completes the entryway effect nicely. And the legs on the trunk are a nice touch to give it more of a furniture feel.
