Simple Spring Front Porch
12 March
Are you ready for spring? I sure am!!
I decorated my front porch over the weekend with hopes that Mother Nature will take the hint! 😊 I didn't buy anything new, just used what I had.
I always start with the chalkboard, it's so fun creating seasonal messages and artwork.
And then I change out the flowers or greenery in my Wellies.
This time I added some metal carrots. I've had these for years and I always forget to put them out!
Then I moved over to the bench and added a couple of spring pillows.
This pillow is actually a photograph I took and you can get it on Society6 in my shop, Little Vintage Cottage's Store!

This one was taken by my boyfriend but he no longer has a shop on Society6. You can find similar ones HERE though!
Ok, back to the porch 😁
I added some spring flowers to the post box.
It's part of the old screen door vignette.
I added some more flowers to the mailbox.
My mom, daughter, and I went to an antique show Saturday and we saw a bunch of bird's nests displayed in a tray. I told my mom... hmmm, I have a bunch of bird's nests...
So, I decided they would be perfect for my spring front porch! (Yes, they are real and they either fell out of trees or were vacant when I found them).
The eggs are not real 😉
Then I added a wreath to the door for the final touch.
I made this wreath years ago from white plastic grocery sacks. I just cut them up into large squares keeping only the white non-printed parts and then jabbed them into a styrofoam wreath with some hot glue.
It's perfect for outdoors since its plastic! I added the floral bow to make it a little more springy!
What do you think? Have you done any decorating for spring yet?

ReplyDeleteLove those mailboxes!!! Wish I could find one to decorate with. Clever you to turn it on its end & use that way. All your decor on the porch is adorable!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you aren't inviting snow on your sign any more! The new porch decor is lovely and inviting!
ReplyDeleteYour front porch is so charming. I love it when I pull out seasonal decorations because they seem like they are new because I haven't seen them in a while. I love the vintage mailbox.
ReplyDeleteThank you Debra, I love that too. It's like I just went shopping or something ha ha!

Very cute! Thanks for sharing at our To Grandma's House We Go DIY, Crafts, Recipes and More Wednesday Link Party! Hope to see you again this week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheri, I always enjoy the party!
ReplyDeleteThanks! That old crate thing is something I found at an old dump near my parent's house! It is marked as having first aid supplies in it at one time. I thought it was cool and I couldn't believe someone just threw it out! Like you said... people will buy that kind of stuff!
