Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds

19 March
I don't know what it is about nice weather but it makes me want to go thrifting!

Maybe it's because it reminds me that yard sale season is right around the corner... or just the fact that I can go outside the house without freezing to death!

Whatever it is, I'm in the mood lately!!

What I found while out thrifting

I love old patterns... especially old toy and home decor patterns!

Price $1.99 for all three, Value $6 - $8 each.

I think little poems like this are so sweet!

I remember sweet little Fisher-Price toys like these. I got this one with a specific project in mind.

These bunnies aren't that old... and really not all that cute... well except for the one in the front! I bought them also for a specific project that will be coming up on the blog soon!

Price $5 for all three, Value - keeping for creating!

I'm not sure what these are, there was a whole box of them at the thrift store. I picked out the ones I liked!

I love this boho looking fringe trim, I can see it used on so many projects!

These little mermaids are always popular!

Price $6 for all of them, Value - HOLY COW! I had no idea! Check out "Vintage Freeman McFarlin Mermaid" on eBay!!

I have a little tip about eBay. You'll see if you click on that link that there are some listed upwards of $500! But my tip is this, there is a menu on the left hand side of the eBay screen, find the box in that menu that says "Completed Items" and put a check in it. This will display the listings that have ended. The ones with the price listed in green have sold for that amount. Because people can put whatever price they want but if they aren't selling for that price then are they really worth that much?

A set of just the two large mermaids like these sold for $140!!

I think I'll try listing each set of mom and baby with a starting bid of $99, what do you think?

I think it will help that mine still have the original stickers! But really, I had absolutely no idea that these went for those kinds of prices, I just always pick up vintage mermaids similar to these because they ALWAYS SELL!

This swan was .99 cents and I purchased it for an experiment I want to try. I'll let you know the results!

The Madonna figurine on the left is a new find that I am adding to my collection.

This little tray came with the smallest bunny, I have an idea for it too.

The wood on this old trivet needs some love but I love the tiles! I might keep this one, not sure yet.

Price $3.99, Value (if I decide to sell it) $18 - $20.

And this is also for a project I have in the works. At first glance, it looked kind of ugly on the shelf at the thrift store but it's growing on me!
