Upcycled Clay Flower Pots
12 June
Guess what today is! It's Thrifty Chicks project day!! One of my favorite days of the month!
If you are new, on the second Wednesday of each month a group of my blogging friends and I create an upcycled project together on our blogs. Each month there's a theme and we each create our own project based on that theme. This month's theme is flower pots!
I decided to do something with a clay flower pot and saucer that has nothing to do with flowers!
I have to apologize in advance for the lack of pictures in this post. My daughter and I just got back from Disney land at about 4am yesterday morning and I hadn't finished my project yet! Yikes!
We had an impromptu barbecue last night so I could test out my new beverage stand (and get a couple of pictures)!
I started out with just a regular old terra cotta clay flower pot and saucer.
I painted both the pot and saucer with this pretty coral colored spray paint.
Next, I glued the saucer upside down on top of the pot with E6000 glue.
I found this cute beverage container at Fred Meyer and thought the coral colored lid and spigot matched the beverage stand perfectly!
It's perfect for barbecues and parties to give the beverage a little extra specialness!!
Be sure to check out the other ladies' projects below!
