Rusty Paint Can Lid Pumpkins

Remember the Rusty Paint Can Planters I made back in the summer?

Well, I was left with the lids that went to those paint cans and of course, I couldn't throw them away but didn't really know what to do with them either!

Then, I was sitting here on my computer one day, surfing Pinterest, admiring all the cute pumpkin crafts when a thought popped into my head... those rusty paint can lids would make perfect pumpkins!

They are round and they are almost the right color already in all their rusty greatness! 🎃

Supplies Needed to Make Your Own

Paint can lids
Faux rust paint
Orange paint
Silk leaves
E6000 glue

My paint can lids were already rusty but you could make faux rust pretty easily if need be.

Paint the lids with a very sloppy coat of orange paint. I used Cinnamon Apple for mine.

You want some of the rust to show through.

I wanted my first pumpkin to resemble one of the popular cinderella pumpkins. They are very wide and flat.

I used E6000 glue to glue them together.

I have some silk flowers that I use for parts. I took these leaves off of those to use for my pumpkins.

I wanted something unique to use for stems for my pumpkins. I rooted around in my stash and found a few things... a piece of rusty pipe worked well for this one.
