Recycled Stitch Fix Style Cards

14 April
Awhile back I mentioned that I was trying to create some quickie crafts... crafts that you can create in just a short period of time.

And if you've been reading LVC for very long then you know I'm also a fan of recycling things that would normally be thrown away.

Today I have another fun little quickie craft using the style cards that come in my Stitch Fix boxes! You can see the first quickie craft here: Upcycled Yogurt Container Easter Baskets.

If you aren't familiar with Stitch Fix, they are an online personal styling service. Shopping for clothes is not my favorite thing to do so having someone pick out some things for me and send them to my house is great! I get time to try them all on in the comfort of my own home and if I don't like anything I can return it for free!

If you want to check out Stitch Fix, you can use my personal referral code and get $25 off your first box!
So each box comes with style cards that show some suggested things to wear your new article of clothing with. The blouse in the middle is the item I received and they give a couple of outfit ideas on each card!

And the backs of the cards look like this! I just loved this little hello greeting! So I started saving them!

I found some scraps of fabric that I liked and decided to add the cards to the fabric.

I cut squares from the fabric slightly larger than the cards.

I used my sewing machine to sew the cards onto the squares of fabric and then cut around the edges with pinking shears.

I used some rick-rack for hangers on the cards.

And some of these vintage lucite flowers for embellishments.

I think they are pretty cute and you could use them on gifts or hanging on a doorknob in the house.

I also used things like buttons...

And some tassels.

This technique would work on other cards too... you can recycle birthday cards or business cards too (I've seen some really pretty business cards on their own, they would be even better with fabric!) 😄
