Cute DIY Halloween Spiders

30 August

I have been enjoying all the cute Halloween projects and decor on Pinterest lately, I love to see all the fun DIY ideas!

I found a picture of some super cute little spiders but it was only a picture, no link was attached. I searched to try and find the source but came up empty-handed 😞 I wish I could have found the original tutorial to share with you but I went ahead and made some for myself so I'll share how I made mine.

Supplies Needed to Make Your Own:

These are really easy to make and SO CUTE!!

Cute DIY Halloween Spiders

Drill two holes at the top and 4 holes on each side of the large wood slices.

Paint the wood slices and the smallest wooden circles black. Paint the other wooden circles white.

Cut some lengths of wire (about 4" long each), you will need 8 per spider. Use pliers to bend up the ends in a little circle shape.

Put some glue over each of the 8 holes on the sides of the wood slice.

Bend the wires in the center and insert the ends into the holes. Lay them flat and allow them to dry.

Go ahead and glue the small wood slice on top of the large while the legs are drying. Place it at the bottom of the large wood slice.

Glue the white wooden circles onto the head, also at the bottom and close together.

Finally, add the small black wooden circles on top of the white. It's cute if you make them look a little cross-eyed! 😄

Cut a long length of wire, bend it in half in the center, and insert both ends into the holes you drilled at the top of the wood slice. Twist the two sides together and use pliers to create a little hanging loop at the top.

Then add some ribbons. I cut four pieces of different but coordinating ribbons, about 5" long each, stacked them on top of each other, and tied them around the wire hanger at the top of the spider. Then I tied two ribbon bows and glued those on top.

I love how these turned out!
