I have been working on a makeover of my small spare bedroom and it now serves multiple purposes... it is a storage area for my Etsy shop inventory and with the most recent Inexpensive Storage Cabinet Refresh the cabinets are not only utilitarian... they look pretty too!
It also serves as a guest bedroom since I built a DIY Poor Man's Murphy Bed, and it is also where I have my shipping center with shipping supplies like tissue paper, packing tape, envelopes, and my printer and postal scale.
It does have one more purpose... a pretty BIG purpose in a really SMALL space... I will reveal what that is at the end of this post so stick around 😉
Bur first, I want to share an easy fan refresh.
How To Refresh an Old Fan and I'm Sharing My News!
I've had this fan for quite a long time. It's not an expensive one, pretty dang cheap in fact! I thought about just replacing it but where's the fun in that? Sometimes it's just a lot more fun to give something a makeover!
It was quite dirty and the white plastic had yellowed.
I took the whole thing apart and washed everything I could with warm soapy water. Then, taped off the areas where I didn't want the spray paint to get on the motor.
I painted the whole thing black.
Once I put it all back together it looks like a whole new fan!
And now do you want to know why I'm adding a fan to my multipurpose spare bedroom?!
I've got a couple of other projects from this room makeover that I'll be sharing soon but in the meantime, I hope you'll check out the article.
It might not seem like that big of a deal to some but trust me, it's a big deal for me! I've been running and working hard on this blog for a long time. My goal is to one day be able to support myself with it so being asked to write for Wayfair is a step in that direction!
