I'm excited today because I finally get to share the laundry room makeover reveal!

This is my boyfriend's laundry room so I tried to make it something a man would like but still have it super cute and something I like too!

I'm happy to say he is really pleased with the outcome. He said he just goes in there and stands sometimes... it doesn't make him any more motivated to do laundry but there's only so much a girl can do 😂

I've been sharing projects from this makeover along the way, you can refresh your memory or catch up on those below:

How to Paint Cabinets

Laundry Room Art with Repurposed IKEA Mirrors

DIY Doorstop With Plaster of Paris

This is what it looked like when we started. It was a little dated with the ugly linoleum floor and basic cabinets. The closet rod between the cupboards was weird, and it was just... well... boring 😩

But what it lacked in design, it made up for in function (a dedicated room that can be closed off if needed, cupboards for storage, and a sink).

Check out the reveal over on the Wayfair Ideas & Advice page and then pop back over here to see some closeup details. A source list will also be included at the bottom of this post.

Did you go check it out? What did you think?!

My favorite part is the new floor, I used peel and stick FloorPops tiles that I ordered from Walmart and I put them right over the top of the old floor!

I replaced the closet rod that was between the cabinets with shelves and disguised the washer and dryer hookups with this cool slatted wood piece. I used a tutorial over at Catie Zee Home for both the shelves and hookup disguise.

Here are some of the details on the shelves. I found this little faux potted plant at TJMaxx.

I found the glass jar at Goodwill to hold these cute sloth dryer balls from Walmart!

I bought this faux plant at Hobby Lobby and the wash and dry words on the wall are from Target's Dollar Spot.

We installed some pull-out baskets under the sink for organizing all the cleaning supplies.

    1. Thanks! I found them at Walmart in person, they were in both the laundry aisle where laundry baskets and hangers and stuff are. They have them online too!

  4. How nice! If you're going to do piles of laundry, might as well do them in a pretty setting.

  5. I don't blame your boyfriend for just standing in the room and taking it all in. What fantastic transformation! Love the pops of masculine blue.
