I'm sharing both a video tutorial and a written tutorial below.
I'll also have a share thread on my Facebook page to share our finished ornaments.
Here is the supply list:
- A recycled egg carton (you can make three or four ornaments with one egg carton)
- Craft paint - red and white
- A small paintbrush
- Scissors
- Embroidery floss
- A large needle
- Hot glue gun
Here is the video tutorial:
Step One - cut the pieces
Cut the pieces from the bottom portion of the egg carton. You'll need one cone shape and one cup shape for each mushroom ornament.
Step Two - Paint
Use the end of the paintbrush to add polka dots to the cups. These will be the mushroom caps.
Step Three - Add a hanger
Use embroidery floss and a large needle to create a hanger.
Step Four - add the mushroom stem
Add a dollop of hot glue inside the mushroom cap, over the knot on the embroidery floss and stick the end of the cone into the glue to create the mushroom stem.
Step Five - sign and share!
Sign your ornament and share it on the Facebook share thread!
That is it!! Easy huh?!
If you enjoyed this month's ornament, please consider sharing and stay tuned for next month's Christmas in October project!
