I've been in a Halloween mood lately and decided to get out some of my craft supplies and make some assemblages.

These will be listed in my Handmade Etsy shop if you are interested: LVC Handmade

If you want to make some of your own, I've listed the supplies below:

I used mostly vintage supplies, but you can use new supplies as well and it will be just as cute 😊

Here is a quick video that shares how to make these and there is a written tutorial below.

I have had these Halloween cards for a long time and as I mentioned in the video, I don't send Halloween cards so I decided to get some use out of these and I don't have to feel bad about cutting them up because they are reproductions!

Cut out the images that you want to use from the cards. Aren't these little kids adorable?

Use E6000 glue (or other strong adhesive) to glue the spool to the miniature tart tin.

You can also use a small jar or other tin of some sort... maybe a spice tin?

Now make a rosette with crepe paper. I used a large vintage sheet that I had but crepe paper streamers make it even easier.

I cut two strips from the crepe paper sheet to make mine.

Use a needle and coordinating thread to run a gathering stitch along one edge of the crepe paper strips.

Then gather it up into a rosette shape and knot and trim the threads.

Use a little hot glue to add the rosette to the top of the spool making sure that the hole in the center of the rosette lines up with the hole in the spool.

Add a piece of a skinny stick to the back of the image you are using with hot glue and then glue the stick into the hole on the spool so it rests on top of the rosette.

Add any other embellishments you want to the rosette. I used a little glittery pumpkin.

I used part of the other card I had for a little sign on the front of the assemblage.

Glue it to the front of the spool with hot glue.

Add a bow with some ribbon.

If you don't have a card with words that would work, you can stamp it like I showed in the video or print something out to use.

Here is the one I made in the video.

Here is another assemblage I made with a vintage children's block and an old frame that was missing the glass.

I hope this encourages you to dig around in your craft supplies to see what you can find. You can use any variety of things to create a cute assemblage!

If you enjoyed this post, I'd love it if you would share it!
