Upcycled Thrifted Wood Bowls
I was at the thrift store recently and found a wooden bowl with a large hole in the bottom on the shelf. I thought it was weird so I left it there.
Another aisle over I found a second, smaller wooden bowl that also had a large hole in the bottom. I put it in my cart and returned and got the other one too.
The large bowl was $1.49 and the small one was .99 cents.
You might have the same idea I did for upcycling these bowls.

- 2 wooden bowls (one slightly larger than the other)
- Wood dowel
- Drill and drill bit (if you need to drill holes in the bowls)
- Paint in the colors of your choice (I used DecoArt paints in Buttermilk, Vintage Pink, Dark Scarlet, and Hauser Medium Green)
- Wood glue or E6000 glue
- Spray clear sealer
First, I cleaned the bowls because they were quite dirty.

I used DecoArt paints for this project and chose Buttermilk for the base coat of both bowls.
Then add the top bowl using glue.
I sprayed the whole thing with a couple of coats of clear satin sealer to protect it from scratches and it's done, what do you think?
I thought of a couple of ideas for what to do with it but really, the sky is the limit!
It can hold tea...
That is just adorable! Very creative use for those bowls...and your paint job is outstanding.
