New Motorhome Tour - 2015 Coachman Prism
07 October
We have a new toy, it's a 2015 Coachman Prism motorhome!
Obviously, it's not new since it's a 2015 model, but it's new to us.
And in true Tania/Little Vintage Cottage fashion, I'm giving it a makeover.
Today I'm sharing the tour before the makeover.
New Motorhome Tour - 2015 Coachman Prism
Here is a short video tour and there are more photos below that.
This isn't going to be a post full of pictures of pretty rooms, but we'll get there 😉
No, this is a very beige post. Here is the view right after stepping in the door; it's the beigest place you'll ever see.
I often wonder why motorhome manufacturers make them so bland. They must be partners with hotel room furniture makers 😂 I think this is part of the reason that Airbnbs are having such a moment; people want to stay in cute places that make them feel at home!
It won't be this way for long though because I'm adding my personal touch to make it more our style.
Right away you might notice that there isn't a dining table or dinette. The original owners chose to have that removed and put in the recliners.
I have a small dinette table that we've already tried out and it works great!
And to the left of the closet is the vanity sink and medicine cabinet.
Then there's the bed. It's a full-size bed and it has a regular mattress that is pretty comfortable and there are cupboards above.
Then across from the recliners, is the kitchen. It has a 2-burner gas stove, a convection microwave, and a nice-sized refrigerator and sink.
It has three TVs, one above the door across from the recliners, one in the bedroom at the foot of the bed, and one outside under the awning.
It's a really nice motorhome but all the beige has gotta go! Here are the things I am planning to change:
- Update cabinet hardware.
- Change the kitchen backsplash.
- Switch the sink faucets.
- Update the look of the refrigerator.
- Change the sink cover/cutting board.
- Change window coverings.
- Update the headboard.
- Create the feel of separate rooms.
- Update the inside of the door.
- Update the medicine cabinets.
- Add wall treatments.
- Update the lighting.
Be sure to follow along to see the makeover, I'm starting in the bedroom! 😀 I am curious what you would change, leave a comment and let me know!

Oh, this looks like a fun project...and congratulations! We don't have a motorhome, but have often thought about getting one. I can't wait to see your transformation!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be so fun, I've already started in the bedroom 😊
DeleteI really like this....good find. I'm not as repulsed by the beige as you are but it is a lot and I probably would add color in the small doses. I'm not a recliner person but I think these are a great idea here and the option for a table the way you described it. The bed seems small to me for adults but not much choice with limited space. I like the bathroom idea with the bath/hand washing sink where it is. That way 2 people can us the 'bathroom' space at the same time. One in the shower and one at the sink. I think you have a real gem here. What fun!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Dee! I'm not really a recliner person either but I definitely like it better than a dinette.
DeleteThat's such a cool motorhome Tania! We've often thought of getting one, and that looks like the perfect size for two people. Not too big and not too small. As you say that is a lot of beige. It definitely needs some personality, which makes it a great candidate for a transformation. I'm looking forward to seeing all your changes and updates.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tuula! I'm deep in the updates as we speak! Lol
