DIY Niche TV Console Table
My daughter and I completed a new project for her house. She has big dreams when it comes to the decor and furniture in her house, like many of us do, and not enough funds to buy everything her little heart desires, also like many of us 😉
Lucky for her, she has a mom who likes to DIY! So together, we created our own version of a TV console table that she liked.
DIY Niche TV Console Table
Here is our inspiration photo. This is the Myconos Wooden TV Console from Irregular Lines. It's out of stock right now, but it costs $1,950 😯
We made our DIY version from this bookcase.
The first thing we did was rearrange the shelves and create nooks.
We did not buy anything new for this project except for the drywall mud that we used. We used the original shelves from the bookcase and just reconfigured and cut some, then screwed them into the sides of the bookcase.
We used some scrap cardboard to create a template for the arches.
I used some scrap wood on the ends of the bookcase, but we were left with a large gap that needed to be filled in. I used some scrap foam that came in a shipping box, and we mudded over it.

Do you see the kitty tracks? 😸 She decided to memorialize them forever, so we left them!
And here it is all finished!
I hope you enjoyed this project! If you did, please share this post.

DeleteI saw this a couple of times mid-makeover and i have to admit that i had serious doubts about how it was gonna come out!! LOL! But, like lots of things, there's an ugly stage before it becomes beautiful! And that's what happened here! It turned out fantastic! Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteI wondered myself if it was going to work sometimes too 😉
DeleteWow! That is one amazing transformation! A lot of work, but you saved a lot of money. Awesome job!
