Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds

11 August
Well, I'm back with treasures to share this week! I skipped going to any yard sales but I did hit a couple of thrift shops and my mom and I went to the Clayson Farms -American Primitives Antique Show on Saturday. :o)

Thrifting Finds

I found this sweet little praying girl picture at the thrift store. I think it will be a good addition to the children's theme I want to do in my booth space at the antique mall.

And how about a sweet little vintage baby book?

It's never been used, look at some of the cute illustrations  :o)

A "Dear Mother" poem...

This is a pillow case for a tiny little pillow... obviously it needs pressing!

Here's a close up of the pretty embroidery on the corner.

And this is a close up of a dresser scarf with butterflies.

I think this is a glove mold that would have been used for making gloves. It has an 'M' stamped into the wood on the bottom which I think means size medium... what do you think? Anyone know for sure?

The lady at the thrift shop thought it was a paddle for paddling naughty behinds! :o)

I got this at the antique show to add to my Eiffel Tower collection. It's not vintage but I don't have one that says "Paris" yet.

I think this little living room set is so adorable! They are probably Barbie sized.

Here you can get an idea of how big they are. They look to be handmade to me... I love them! Very boho chic!

I picked up these cookie cutters to offer in my Little Boho Cottage Etsy shop. I think they are cool
and they are BIG!

I found the yellow pot holder I was looking for. I have a project in mind...

Here are the orange one's I found last time I shared for TTT for the same project.

I love me a good ampersand!!! I have quite a growing little collection of &s around my house... 4 now I believe!

I bought a couple of these little drawers at the antique show. I'm planning to paint the fronts and use them to display little tchotchkes and knick-knacks in my booth.

And here are the items that the teaser picture for this post came from... more hangers for my closet.

What do you think of my finds this week?

  2. That is either a glove mold or a store display - leaning more store display. Great items for a child-themed section of your booth. The cookie cutters - The Roadrunner!

  5. My favorite...the little praying girl print. So adorable! The glove thingy does look like it would make an intimidating paddle...lol! Love the ampersand too and have contemplated buying one but I am afraid it would turn into a collection and I don't have room...lol! Love the little furniture set. Too cute! Can't wait to see what you do with the potholders. I'm intrigued!

  6. Hi Tania! :)
I love your finds, and it sounds like you had a great day thrifting/antiquing! :)
Love the dresser scarf, my grandmother used to make those, I have one that she made me. I think that is a glove sizer too! Spanker, that's funny...didn't they use wooden spoons for that?! ;)
A roadrunner cookie cutter? Cute!! :)

    1. I thought spanker was funny too. When I was in school it was a wooden paddle with holes in it... but not shaped like a hand! lol!

I dropped off some stuff at the thrift store earlier this week but came home empty handed.
