Antique Store Booth Update

29 November
The antique mall where I have my space was open today for vendors only to work on our spaces in preparation for the Christmas open house on December 5th.

Antique mall booth refresh

I took in my {Children's play kitchen} that I showed you yesterday along with a few other things.

Let's take a look around shall we? :)

The kitchen went along the back chalkboard wall...

I made a cute pennant banner from an old Christmas Little Golden Book. Some of the pages were missing and there was scribbling on other pages so this book was the perfect candidate to recycle into something new!

Here's a closeup of one of the pages.

Up above there was a blank space... well, we can't have that! So I hung up a crate and put a few goodies in it.

If you turn to the right and look down you'll see this...

...adorable little vintage doll bed. I made a new cover for the mattress with some vintage fabric I had and then made the bed with some baby blankets I have.

The bed is really cute but very shabby and chippy. I gave it a coat of polyurethane to keep the decals and paint from chipping off any more.

Now looking up above the doll bed...

I moved the white shelf over to the left and then hung up another old crate.

The Christmas tree is now on the old farmhouse table surrounded by vintage books and toys. My mom and I turned the table sideways in the booth... we have to make use of every available inch of space if possible and turning the table this direction allowed for just enough room for the doll bed.

I also think it helps to refresh your space too... it makes the same stuff look like new stuff :)

I also added this adorable little pink ironing board!

On the other side of the booth you'll see...

The same stack of crates that was already there but I rearranged and added different things to them.

And these two tables are on the end of my space out in the aisle kind of.

So, I'm all prepared for the open house now.

The other day I was in my space primping and adding a few new things and a customer came in and said "I love this booth"... music to a vendor's ears!

  3. I had that ironing board when I was little. I also had an iron that you plugged in and it actually got warm. I ironed a lot of dolly clothes. Your booth looks great. I can see why it is a favorite.

  5. So eye-catching and appealing to the customers who are sure to plunder for the treasures you have displayed. Love the vignettes you created in the crates. I was very wowed by the transformation of the"kitchen" in the last post.

  7. I'm scouring your pictures for organizing ideas. A friend and I just opened a booth 8 days ago and we are learning as we go. I love the chalkboard back wall! Its very eye catching and contrasts nicely with the merchandise. That little green table is my favorite piece!
