Mid-Century Modern Side Table Makeover

24 April
Small tables seem to sell pretty well at the antique mall where I have my space. I don't know if it's that they are less expensive or because of their small size... or maybe a combination of the two!

MCM table makeover

I picked up this little MCM number at a garage sale last summer for $3.

She was pretty sad :o( The top had begun to separate and she had some rust beginning on her dainty little metal legs.

But I thought she was charming and all she needed was a new top and a fresh coat of paint!

I used the old top as a pattern and my jigsaw to cut out the new top.

And some pretty metallic gold for her legs. The rust was just surface level so it sanded right off!

Here she is all spiffed up!

I put polka dots on her top just like I did for the little Triangle Side Table Makeover.

But I wanted them to be very subtle so I did white polka dots on the Cake Batter colored top.

She's already down at my space at the antique mall awaiting her new owner :o)

What do you think?
