Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds

28 June
I mentioned yesterday that my mom and I hit a few awesome sales this weekend and I've got lots of great finds to share with you today for Treasure Trove Tuesday!

thrifting finds
So let me show you!

I love this vintage doll, she has such a sweet little face :o)

She has a cloth body and composition head, arms, and legs I believe. But she doesn't have any markings so I don't know much about her.

But aside from a little cleaning, a small repair on the cloth and perhaps a new outfit and she'll be super sweet!

Price $1, Value $18 - $20.

I found a bag of vintage patterns. I didn't open them before I bought them and sadly some are in pretty sad shape.

Vintage apron patterns are pretty popular and this one seems to be in good shape.

This one... not so much! Check out this post I did awhile back about vintage aprons and patterns: Top Vintage Collectibles Part II - Vintage Aprons.

Price $1 for the whole bag, Value $1 - $5 each.

I love the graphics on this vintage tin.

I've never heard of a Radiant Polish Mop have you?

Price $2, Value $10 - $12.

A children's milk glass clown drinking glass. Price $1, Value $6 - $8.

A pretty creamer... Price .75 cents, Value $6 - $8.

I have a weakness for adorable vintage figurines like this little squirrel! Price $2, Value $6 - $8.

This rooster salt and pepper set is unique!

I love how the holes are in the tail on one and the head on the other!

They are marked "Germany" on the bottom. Price $2, Value $6 - $8.

Old Fisher Price toys sell really well at the antique mall where I have my space. This teaching clock is in such great shape and works perfectly!

Price $1, Value $16 - $18.

A sweet little bathtub scene :o) Price $1, Value $12 - $14.

This is such a darling image of some cute little girls with their dog. Do you know what it is?

It's actually the top off an old sewing box but it was so pretty I couldn't pass it up. Price $1, Value $6 - $8.

Books are another good seller at the antique mall... and the quirkier the better I think!

I especially like the red one, the title is "Physical Culture Food Directory - A Rating of Foods for Vitality Growth, Reduction and Energy and for the Prevention of Constipation"! Ha Ha!!

The Watkins Cookbook is copyright 1943 and the Food Directory is copyright 1927. Price $1 each, Value $8 - $10 each.

These steampunk glasses are cool.

Price $2, Value $18 - $20.

A pack of vintage New York City postcards!

I love the bright colors on them, here are just a few examples from the pack. Price $1, Value $10 - $12.

Another thing that tugged at my heartstrings!

Look how tiny!! Price .10 cents, Value $4 - $6.

I love this old pan!

There were a couple of different designs at the garage sale where I found this but all except this one were scorched inside. Price $1.50, Value $8 - $10.

An adorable little dutch boy restaurant ware plate.

It's marked "RimRol Trade Mark Inca Ware Shenango China New Castle, Pa. U.S.A." I think someone added the decal later. Price $1, Value $6 - $8.

Ceramic horse book ends. I had a single white one of these that sold in my space at the antique mall so I thought a pair would be even better! Price $3, Value $16 - $18.

I love the flowers on this cute fan. Price Free! Value $4 - $5.

Little ceramic wall hooks in the shape of an ear of corn and a lemon.

They are small and cute! Price $1 for the pair, Value $8 - $10.

This little guy is so sweet, I gave him the little bow to dress him up a bit. Price $1, Value $6 - $8.

And awesome red corner shelf!! Price $2, Value $14 - $16.

I found a bag of little doll clothes and these were in there! I think they are so sweet!

The whole bag was $1 and there were two other dresses in there so these were basically .25 cents each, Value $8 - $10 each.

And it was a GREAT weekend for vintage tablecloths and linens!!

All of the following were in one box I got for $2.50.

An embroidered peach hand towel and blue floral table cloth and napkins. Price, about .41 cents each, Value $3 - $4 for the hand towel, $8 - $10 for the tablecloth and napkins.

 A delicate white apron. Price, about .41 cents, Value $12 - $14.

Fruit tea towel, Price .41 cents, Value $4 - $6 (it has some stains).

This table cloth is what we call "a cutter", it has a large hole right in the middle so it is suitable for cutting up for craft projects.

Price .41 cents, Value $10 - $12.

This one is in great shape!

Price .41 cents, Value $16 - $18.

The rest are from a different sale,

This pretty pink one was full of ugly stains but I got them all out! I'll share my method soon! ;o)

Price .50 cents, Value $18 - $20.

My mom poo-poo'd this one, I'm not really sure why, I think it's pretty!

It has a cute little crochet edging. Price $2, Value $20 - $22.

I love this one with the butterflies!

Price $2, Value $22 - $24.

And last but certainly not least... this fancy little nightgown! The guys at the estate sale where I found this were flirting with me trying to get me to try it on for them! HA!

Price $2, Value $18 - $20.

Whew! That was a lot of stuff!! Do you have a favorite?

  5. Wow! Great hunting! Love the sweet prints you found. The old doll is my favorite and I would leave her just the tattered way she is.

  7. You made a haul! My mom had a radiant mop she used to polish our hardwood floors. My son fell onto one of those hickory dickory clocks at daycare and split open his eyebrow. He still has the scar. Awww memories. :) I love the tea towels.

    1. Thanks so much for sharing a couple of memories! I didn't know you had a son too, I don't think I've ever heard (seen) you talk about him. Is he grown and on his own?
