A Lazy Day Road Trip

17 April
On Saturday my BF and I decided to take a spontaneous little road trip and do a little exploring in Spokane, Washington which is about 2 hours from where we live.

It was so nice, I really needed to get away... it's nice sometimes to just go without a real plan you know?

Our first stop was a little town called Sprague, on the way to Spokane. My BF is into photography and he saw something that piqued his interest so we took the exit and explored a little.

This row of old trucks was so cool, we loved all the colors.

I loved this old rolling barn door... it doesn't roll anymore and the building is literally falling down. Wouldn't it be cool to have a genuine old barn door?!

Once we made it to Spokane we stopped at a couple of antique shops, Boulevard Merchantile was our first stop. I really loved this one, they had two floors full of very unique finds.

I didn't take many pictures but I really liked this little book page garland. I think I'll make one for the artist section in my booth at the antique mall. It's a great example of something fun to make with old book pages!

The basement had rows and rows of vintage clothes, my daughter would love this!

Even though it's a basement it was very well lit and full of great treasures!

Our next stop was Tossed and Found. I bought these vintage sign letters to spell "make", I thought it would be fun to hang them in my booth somewhere around the artist supplies as a not so subtle hint! 😁

Next, we decided to check out Spokane Falls, the second largest urban waterfall in the country.

There has been quite a bit of flooding here due to all the snow we got so the falls were really powerful!

They have built Riverfront Park on the outskirts so you can walk all around the falls.

This totem pole was cool.

We had lunch and then just started driving to see where else we might want to go.

And then I saw this...

OMG, World Market! EEEEeeeee! I've never been before so I was super excited!

And of course, I had to buy a few things!!

This candle smells A-Mazing!!

I bought one of these glass terrariums. I can't wait to plant a something in it!

I found this pillow on clearance...

Only I bought mine in blue.

And these heart-shaped bell chimes.

We headed for home after World Market.

We really had a great, relaxing day. Sometimes you just need to take a spontaneous, fly by the seat of your pants kind of road trip am I right?!

I love spontaneous days...especially when it involves going to do something I have never done or visiting a place I have never been. I love the name of that business...Tossed and Found. So neat! I love World Market. The closest one to me is 2 hours away In Tallahassee where my daughter used to live. It's been nearly 2 years since I have been. Love the heart chime! I NEED that in my life. LOL! May need to go online!

  8. There's nothing more fun than just taking off on a road trip with no real plans along the way. Sounds like a great time to me. Love the pillow, but mine would have to be the pink one of course. :)

  9. I went back and forth between the pink and the blue for quite awhile!
