Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds

11 April
I found a few things over the weekend to share for this week's Treasure Trove Tuesday (you know I couldn't go a whole weekend without hitting the thrift shops)!

What I found at the thrift shop!

Let's start off this TTT with this adorable little crawling baby!

thrifting finds

Isn't she sweet?

Price $1.99, Value $6 - $8.

Thrifting Finds

I got this entire group of vintage toys together.

Thrifting Finds

Most are Dakin brand from the 1960's.

Price $12.99 for all (there are 9 of them), Value $1 - $8 each depending on the size and condition.

Thrifting Finds

I loved the little clown on this piece.

Thrifting Finds

I'm not really sure what it is, the top slides open like so and there is a little loop hanger on the top.

Thrifting Finds

This is on the bottom but I have no idea what it says! It's cute none the less! Any ideas what it might have been used for?

Price $1.99, Value $6 - $8

Thrifting Finds

I love this bowl. It's Marcrest in the Daisy Dot pattern. I have a pitcher for sale at the antique mall but it isn't selling. Maybe if I pair it with the bowl thee will be a better chance!

Thrifting Finds

Price $3.99, Value $18 - $20.

Thrifting Finds

Now I wouldn't normally buy something like this little doll bust but I thought she would be cute with a little party hat and collar.

I'll be sure to show what I do to her but I think she'll be great to have at the antique mall in the new artist's section I'm planning as an example.

Thrifting Finds

This is the little plaque on the bottom.

Price $1.99, Value $12 - $14 after she's gussied up!

Thrifting Finds

And I found a whole bag of tiny unicorns! Eeeeee!!!

Thrifting Finds

Aren't they sweet!?

Price $6.99 for 10, Value $2 each.

Thrifting Finds

Life is just a bowl of unicorns... or is that cherries?! 😁

Thrifting Finds

That's it for this week! What have you found lately?

I've sold quite a few of those 1960s made in Japan toys!

Love that bowl! And the unicorns are adorable! I was thinking pencil box for the clown piece, but not sure why there'd be a hanger, so probably not.

I checked a translation site and all those phrases on the box translate to "handmade" or "handwork"

You really found some unusual pieces this time. The toys are so fun and the unicorns are just adorable! Not sure what the clown box would have been...but it is a neat piece.
