I wanted to create a dreamy, neutral table setting. I think I accomplished what I set out to do but you can let me know what you think!
I started with a table runner that has little tan trees on it and then a wad of white tule.
I found a couple of cute tutorials I wanted to try for my table setting. One was these paper doily trees.
They are made with 3 paper doilies (large, medium, and small sizes), wooden skewers, and wooden beads, all of which I already had!
I drilled a hole the same size as the skewers into an old fence board and just stuck each tree in!
I also added these off-white honeycomb trees that I found at Pick Your Plum.
If you have never shopped at Pick Your Plum, they are a daily deal site and they have the cutest things from toys to home decor, craft supplies to clothes and shoes! I love them! Anyway, I don't think these trees are available anymore, that deal has ended 😞
The second tutorial I wanted to try was for these adorable paper table favors.
I cut some pieces from a roll of plain kraft paper, folded them in half, and drew a large star on them.
Then I used my sewing machine and stitched along the lines. I left enough open to stuff it with a little present (I can't tell you what's inside because they are for my mom, dad, and daughter on Christmas and my mom (and sometimes my dad) reads my blog! 😉
Then you finish stitching around the star and cut it out!
I used the end of a pencil dipped in white paint to make polka dots on them. Then I stamped M, D, and S on 3 tags (M for Mom, D for Dad, and S for Sydney) and tied them on with white cotton twine.
I added some battery operated Christmas lights under the tule and my brass deer.
Some little glittery metal snowflake ornaments are scattered here and there.
And then I decided to add my brass candlesticks with white candles.
PIN ME!
