Treasure Trove Tuesday - Thrift Haul
27 April
Hi there! How have your thrifting ventures been lately? Have you hit any good thrift stores or yard sales?
Yard sales have just started to spring up here and there where I live but I haven't been to any yet. I've had good luck at the thrift stores over the last few weeks though and I've got lots to share today for Treasure Trove Tuesday!
Treasure Trove Tuesday - Thrift Haul
I found these ironwood cactus and coyote figurines at one of my favorite locally-owned thrift stores. I've never heard of ironwood and didn't know that's what they were called until I sat down to do some research. Apparently ironwood is just a term that is used to describe any number of trees with exceptionally hard or tough wood. Or it's a city in Michigan! 😂They had a whole bunch of different figurines at this thrift store but I only picked up these two because I wasn't really sure how popular or valuable they might be so just wanted to start with these two... I may have to go back and see if they still have more though because it seems like they are quite popular!
Ornate vintage metal frames like these always sell. I will take out the weird Christmas pictures and redonate them, then replace them with a piece of pretty scrapbook paper (frames always sell faster when they have pretty paper inside).
Price - cactus: $3.99, coyote: $2.99
Value - $15 - 30 for the pair
I liked this 1980's sunset picture. It's very retro with the muted colors. I can't find it online anywhere although I know I've seen similar prints with the pastel look. I'm torn though, do you think I should leave the oak frame or paint it? It would really accent the picture if I painted it a peachy pink color to match the sun.
Price $2.99
Value $18 - $20.
I always pick up things like this to add to my craft supply hoard stash. This is actually a headband but the little felted pumpkin is so cute I know I'll find a use for it.
Price $.99 cents
Value, keeping (adding to my supply stash)
I found a bag full of these mother of pearl coasters and then later I found the coordinating plate at a different thrift store.
I found these at Goodwill. Our local Target stores donate a lot of their overstock. I love these Opalhouse Easter eggs!
Price $3.99
Value, keeping (adding to my Easter decor)
Price - coasters: $1.99, plate: $1.99
Price $2.99
Value $20 - $25 if I were selling but for now, I am keeping (I have one already... I see a collection in the making 😉)
Price $1.99 each
Value $15 - $20 each
This reminds me of a dollhouse rug but it's too big for my dollhouse.
Brass is pretty popular and I found a cute little candle holder with heart cutouts.
Price .99 cents
Value $6 - $8
Price .99 cents
Value $8 - $10
I think this crochet doily is so pretty for spring! The leaves are cool! I have a similar one that my grandma made.
Price .99 cents
Value $12 - $14
Carved trays like this are so boho chic and this one has a pretty inlay design. You can do so much with them! I have one on my laundry room folding table holding a candle that smells like fresh laundry and a cute laundry sign.
Price $8.00
Value $35 - $40
I have a thing for hands... I have several so I couldn't pass this one up when I saw it.
Price $3.99
Value $20 - $25 if I were selling, but I am keeping (adding to my hand collection)
I think paper coasters with Asian people and scenes will sell as art supplies. Altered artists are always looking for unique paper ephemera to add to collages and mixed media artworks!
Price .99 cents
Value $2.00 each
I dropped everything when I saw this cute little creamer... in fact, I may have to go back because I think I was so distracted that I missed more good stuff! 😂
Price .99 cents
Price $3.99
Value $22 - $24
These little coffee cups are so adorable, I love the little pedestal bases!
Price $6 for all 5
Value $25 - $30
I found a whole set of vintage harlequin romance novels! I have no idea if they will sell or not but after doing a little research it looks as though they just might!
Price .79 cents each
Value $2.50 each
I think these will be cool for making terrariums!
This little dutch tablecloth is so sweet, it's linen and has never been washed because it still has the paper tags attached!
Price $1.99
Value $28 - $30
Price $1.49 each
Value $14 each
I did find some more goodies but I will be sharing those in a different post coming soon!
Happy Thrifting!

In the Southwest, ironwood is a definite tree; people love using them in their yards as they are such pretty, drought-tolerant trees. The wood is very hard--and hard to carve! These Tuesdays are my favorite Tuesdays!!!
ReplyDeleteOh cool, I didn't know it was a real tree! Thanks and I'm so glad you like TTT :)

A fantastic haul! I was going to choose the doily as my favorite but then I saw the little teapot and now I cannot decide.
