Craft Room Update Tour

21 February

I rearranged my craft room once again and made a few decor changes.

I found a new rug and a curtain panel at Goodwill. Both were new from Target and from the Opal House line.

Those two things plus replacing some peel-and-stick wallpaper that I used on the side of one of the bookcases really warmed the space up.

Come on in!

My craft room is upstairs and it gets great light!

You can see the pretty mustard-colored curtain panel on the window. I switched out the contact paper that was on the side of the tall skinny bookcase to the right of the window with some leftover peel-and-stick wallpaper (also from Goodwill) from the front entry makeover.

I love how the color matches the curtains perfectly. It also has pink in it which coordinates with the pink accent wall too!

I managed to squeeze a Goodwill $9.99 retro chair in the corner.

This is half of an antique steamer trunk that I found at Goodwill years ago. It's perfect for storing yarn and other supplies.

The other side of it was ruined by someone trying to get the locks open so I took it apart and just used this side.

The vintage dresser holds my Etsy shop shipping supplies (envelopes, tissue paper, bubble wrap, etc.)

The peach shelf is an old drawer. You can see that project here: Upcycled Drawer

I have a vintage garbage can that I use for wallpaper.

The closet in the room is also packed with supplies, some pretty and some not. I used a tension rod and some thrifted sheer curtains to disguise it a little but usually, it's open.

I have utilized every space I possibly can I think. Including the heating and air pipe! I painted it black and use magnets on it.

This is the view if you are standing over by that antique steamer trunk.

I have my workbench situated so that I can work from both sides.

My childhood sewing machine is on top of the shelf. 😊

You can see that I like to have most of my supplies visible and stored in vintage containers of all sorts.

This is my inspiration board. I just stick things up there that make me smile.

This is my crafting fairy mascot. I found her at an antique show back when my daughter was little. I spent all the money I had for the antique show on her.

I stamped an inspirational quote on this vintage plate.

This is the skinny bookcase that I put the peel-and-stick wallpaper on. It's from a bookstore that was going out of business.

It's perfect for all the vintage storage containers!

Here I have my collection of tomato pincushions, colorful measuring tapes, and thimbles on display.

My daughter just got the little girl pincushion for me for Christmas.

I also have a small collection of vintage Mexican pottery candlestick holders and knick-knacks displayed in the small window.

This is the view from the other side of my work bench.

I rearranged and made a gallery wall with my vintage crewel collection.

I have a couple of crystals hanging in the window. I love the sparkles they create all over the walls and ceiling when the sun shines in.

And I have my messy little supply cart with things I use most often next to the workbench.

  3. I spy your tumble weed. We may be covered with them this summer because of the snow and rain we finally got at the end of last year and this year. Love your craft room and I will be taking some ideas if you don't mind.
