Grinch Popcorn Recipe
09 December
Do you like to watch Christmas movies this time of year?
Ingredients (you can cut this in half for a smaller batch for just one or two people):
Directions
I found it easiest to measure out the popcorn a cup at a time and remove the popped kernels by hand leaving the unpopped kernels in the bottom of the measuring cup.
Melt the butter over medium heat.
To make the Grinch green, begin adding blue food coloring a little bit at a time (start with 2 drops) until you have the green you want.
Throw in some red M&M's or cinnamon heart candies while it is warm so they'll stick into the mixture. These represent The Grinch's small heart that grew 3 sizes that day!
I was only able to find red and green M&M's so I just picked out some red ones. You won't need very many.
At this point you could form it into popcorn balls if you want, then everyone will have their own snack while watching the movie!
You could also make this as Rice Krispie Treats!
I do, I love to watch the old cartoons that I watched as a child. I watched them as a child and with my daughter when she was growing up. My favorite cartoon Christmas movie of all time is The Grinch.
It's always nice to have snacks when you are watching movies and popcorn is a traditional movie snack. So, to go along with my favorite movie, I'm sharing a recipe for Grinch popcorn which is the perfect snack while you're enjoying the movie!
Grinch Popcorn Movie Snack Recipe
The original Grinch song was sung by Thurl Ravenscroft. He was also the voice behind Tony the Tiger's "They're GRRREAT!" You can listen to it below while you make the popcorn 😃
