I enjoy decorating for all the different holidays.

I don't get too carried away though. Usually, it's just my mantel, a table centerpiece, or a small vignette somewhere in the main area of the house.

Some of the less celebrated holidays like St. Patrick's Day are harder because the stores don't carry much in the way of decor. The things you'll often find are pretty cheesy-looking or are geared toward children.

But if you are looking for some ideas for how to decorate your house for St. Patrick's Day, then you're in the right place because I've got some fun ideas and DIY's to share!

St. Patrick's Day Decor Ideas

You don't have to go all out on holidays like St. Patrick's Day. Instead, try keeping it simple and just focus on a small area like the dining table with a fun table centerpiece.

I have a few pieces of decor that I like to use every year and I just change out a few things each time.

Here are some examples of my table over the years.

This one is very simple with just a few things gathered together.

This one has some of the same decorations except a table runner was added, the candle was replaced with a handmade card, the frame was replaced with a sucker holder that my daughter made when she was little, and a different Dollar Store glittery hat was used.

This is a table centerpiece from a different year. It has the same shamrock candle ring, crochet doily, handmade card, and sucker holder. I placed it all on a large wooden cutting board and added a white pitcher with some silk flowers and a cute little ceramic owl.

This version again has some of the same stuff but I added a couple more DIY projects.

some other ideas you can use are simple banners you can make with some old book pages and green scrapbook paper.

You can also repurpose a plain wreath.

It really doesn't have to be fancy at all. This vignette on my buffet is very simple and includes some green books and a shamrock made from wine corks.

I made a little St. Patrick's Day gnome for this one. I used the same method as the DIY Valentine Toilet Paper Tube Gnomes.

Tiered trays are also an easy thing to decorate and they give a big bang for the buck! Try one on the corner of a kitchen counter, used as a table centerpiece, or on a buffet!

By shopping your home for everyday things you can use, adding a little bit of green, and a few DIYs you can have a festive spot in your home decorated for St. Patrick's Day!
