4th of July Decor

23 June

The 4th of July holiday is one of those holidays that is harder to decorate for in my opinion. I think a lot of the decor options that you find in stores are tacky and there aren't a lot of cute adult patriotic craft options either.

For these smaller holidays, I like to decorate just my buffet. It requires only a few decorations so it's budget-friendly, requires less storage space, and it's fun and easy to change out!

I did not buy anything new for this display, I just worked with what I had. I did make a couple of things, but I had all the supplies I needed for that already.

Looking for some inspiration for easy, budget-friendly and DIY ideas for decorating for the 4th of July? I've got some cute ideas to share!

I made a fun little slideshow sharing how I decorated my buffet for the 4th 😊

I started with a blank slate and hung up this vintage flag I have as a backdrop for my display.

Then I added a cute little lantern garland.

And began filling up my tiered tray with an Uncle Sam that my mom painted so many years ago.

I added a Dollar Store red tinsel start behind him and some glittery star table scatter (also from the Dollar Store) in a jar.

Next, I added 3 faux fire crackers.

And a metal "Freedom" sign was added in on the top tier.

And finally, a little ceramic pail and another Uncle Sam from my mom. He's painted on a paint stir stick!

I then added some crochet doilies that my grandma made.

I made the little can with flags. I used a recycled tin can.

And the label off of this pickled beets jar! I think some food labels are so nice and pretty! Is that wierd!? 😆

I painted the can blue, added the label with Mod Podge, and cut a scrap of foam that I had to fit inside the can.

Then, I had a bunch of small flags that I've collected over the years and I stuck them into the foam in the can.

And added a few glittery hearts.

The little bear is one that I made.

I had this antique history book and thought it was perfect to display for the 4th!

This book is from my dad's family, F.B. Carroll was his grandfather I believe. When my grandpa passed away, I inherited some of the books he had.

The illustrations in this book are so cool!

The last little project I did for this year involves this clipboard frame that I've had for years.

And one of those small flags didn't match all the others, so I used it for this project.

Easy-peasy!
