Halloween Altered Art Doll
I've been watching some craft videos on YouTube using small vintage dolls lately and it has inspired me to get out some old dolls that I have in my craft stash and make something with one of them.
The dolls I have are old but not necessarily valuable or rare so I feel good about using them in art projects.
Today I'm sharing a cute Halloween assemblage using one of the dolls I have and a cardboard box.

I used this little bisque doll. Her eyebrows didn't get painted on straight when she was created and I don't think these are her original clothes, they look newer to me. But, I thought she was cute for an art project.
These are the supplies I used if you want to make your own:
- Small vintage doll (There are a lot of them on Etsy)
- Craft paint (black and pink)
- Assorted Halloween-themed scrapbook papers
- Spider and web stickers
- Vintage dictionary page
- Black felt
- Black glitter
- White craft glue
- Mod Podge
- Hot glue
- Various add-ons (glittered bats, black ribbon roses, glittery pumpkin, etc.)
I started with a cardboard box that came inside a larger box of something I ordered. They had used little boxes of various sizes to take up space inside the larger box.
I thought they would be good for crafting so I saved several of them.
I covered one of them with different Halloween-themed scrapbook papers.
Now for the doll... I took the dress off her but I loved her cute little lacy undies 😊

DeleteI love these little dolls and have collected some myself. I had to laugh--with her eyebrows mismatched, she looks so worried about her new black undies!!
ReplyDeleteHaha! That's funny 🤣 I bet she was like "you're not just gonna leave me in my undies are you!?"
