Trash to Treasure - Scrap Wood Boho Pumpkins

05 September
I have some cute little chunky faux pumpkins to share with you today!

After I built my pallet patio table and benches, I was left with a few chunks of 4x4 post pieces and to me, they looked like cute little chunky pumpkins!

Boho Pumpkins
Make these adorable boho pumpkins from 4x4 scraps!

So here is my pile of little wood chunks.

And it just so happened that there was a tree branch that had fallen from the tree in my backyard that was perfect for stems! I just cut a few chunks off with a hand saw.

The holes in the top of each wood chunk for the stems were made with a 3/4-Inch Spade Bit.

And I sprayed them with Krylon COVERMAXX Pumpkin Orange Spray Paint to make them look a little more pumpkin-ish!

Since these are boho pumpkins I added a little pattern to a couple of them with stencils.

I found some leaves that would work in my supply of silk flowers and some Jute Twine...

To attach the leaves to the stems I wrapped the twine around the stems capturing the leaves underneath.

Then I put some hot glue down into the hole and stuck the stem in!

And then I added some fun boho accents... like pom-poms!!

For two of the pumpkins, I just dry brushed them with white paint.

And two of them are stenciled.

What do you think? Aren't they cute?!
